This is a classic tomato sauce and very flavorful and delicious. This spaghetti sauce from scratch takes a bit of time to make but, it is worthwhile. You can for up to a year, freeze for six months or store in a refrigerator for one week.
Ingredients
- Olive Oil
- 1 package of your favorite pasta spaghetti noodles
- 1 pound of ground beef or turkey
- 1 small diced yellow onion
- 2 garlic cloves, diced.
- 1 small diced green pepper
- 30 ounces diced tomatoes; seeds removed.
- 12 ounces tomato paste
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/3 cup red wine
- 1 teaspoon organic cane sugar
First, start boiling salted water in a large pot to Cook pasta until tender about nine to eleven minutes. Cover pot with a lid to trap heat so the water boils faster. Drain leaving a bit of pasta water.
Heat olive oil in medium skillet over medium heat. Add diced garlic, onions and green pepper until soft about fifteen minutes.
