Plans to Decorate a Spring Kitchen on a Budget
I have many interest in the kitchen from persevering to baking; and my kitchen in the spring needs to be pretty and functional.
In my kitchen in the spring, I love to cook, eat, write, plan and gather. My kitchen is literally in the center of my home; and as you can imagine everyone who enters gathers in this space.
This week after being home; for winter break I decided I need to change and spruce up some areas of my house. I spend a lot of time in my kitchen, and it needed a spring touch.
I recently repaint my kitchen to brighten things up. Paint can make areas of your home feel more attracted and give a nice update without breaking the bank. My lifestyle has changed a lot through the years. I want a home that is calm and simple. I am loving neutrals and neutral colors. Before I began decorating, I made a plan on areas I want to freshen up.
The areas I wanted to refresh was my cabinet just right of my kitchen sink, my windowsill above my sink and my stove area. I choice a color scheme that was simple white, green and of course blue. I think blue screams spring!
One day, when I am brave enough, I like to tile subway tile to create a nice back splash. In the meantime, we will spruce up the kitchen by doing what I can on a budget.

Thrift Store can be tricky if you do not have the right strategy in place when shopping them.
First you must know when shopping at a thrift store it is “Wave”! Stoking of the store happen at certain times and days. Your goal is to find out when this happens.
Typically thrift stores are fully stock by Tuesday morning after decluttering happened and donations are dropped off.
Second, know when your local thrift store stocks after big donation days, this is helpful because you can look and explore what may be a resource in creating a gorgeous home.
Third, shop in the morning before large crowds and your able to take your time up and down the aisle.
Fourth, know your local thrift store sale days. Every thrift store I shopped at has a day where they discount items, and this is helpful when you have a budget in thrifting to create a gorgeous Home
Finally, look over ever area twice and high and low. Usually, I enter the thrift store and scan the are once and then go back again to really focus on the area that caught my eye. Going through a thrift store twice can be helpful because the first time you may have miss something that would be perfect in Creating a Gorgeous Home

Eucalyptus is gorgeous by itself and just a timeless piece of greenery that goes with ever season. If you buy or grow fresh eucalyptus dries out nicely. I love adding this greenery around my home all season.
Hydrangeas reminds me of spring no matter what the color is. White is the hydrangea I decide to decorate my kitchen with because it is neutral, clean and fresh. The faux hydrangeas look very life like that I am seriously obsessed.

Blue and White Ironstone I keep things simple with all my white and blue ironstone, and added eucalyptus for a pop of green, and I had to add the white hydrangeas to promote a fresh spring vibe.
White Pitchers are simple but, make a statement. You can find many great white pitchers at secondhand stores in varies sizes. Display spring blooms within your pitchers on counters to create a great look to any kitchen. Clustering pitchers together in varies sizes can be a nice touch in your space on a shelf.
Finding things in another part of your home can refresh any space and will fill in some missing pieces.
Fresh Plants can be place above your sink to give a pop of color and a fresh component, if you can keep them alive!
Finally, I went around my home to find spring touches such as a pretty Turkish inspired white and blue towels.
Looking around your home, can be a budget friendly way to revisit a decor piece and refresh a space while not breaking the bank.

THRIFT STORE SECRETS
Find out your local thrift store sales dates; such as half off day.
A lot of time your local thrift store will post sale days on Social Media Platforms.
Shop the bottom up! When scouring the shelves and racks at your local thrift store, look in places that many will not. Shop low and very high for items that many do not see.
Always shop off season, at Christmas time think Spring and vice versa.
Do not be afraid to bargain, the worse the person will say is “NO”! A good rule of thumb is I try to barter for at least twenty five percent less the asking price. Be honest, if priced fair, pay the price!
Research the items you are looking to purchase to determine if the price is fair.
When thrifting you can find the best deals at flea markets, garage sales and church sales.
