Quick Bake Chicken Parmesan Recipe
Ingredients·
- Two to Four skinless boneless chicken breast·
- ½ cup of panko breadcrumbs·
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese·
- One large farm fresh, pasteurized egg, lightly beaten·
- Two tablespoons of grass-fed butter·
- 1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce·
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese·
- Four slices or shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 teaspoon of garlic salt·
- 1 teaspoon of ground pepper
- Favorite noodles; cooked (optional)·
- Dried or fresh parsley
First, preheat the oven to 375 degrees, place the chicken breast between two sheets of plastic wrap or in a gallon zip lock bag and flatten to ¼ inch thickness, using a meat mallet.
Second, combine breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese. Next, dip chicken in the beaten egg, then the breadcrumbs to coat both sides. Melt grass butter in a cast iron skillet, add chicken and brown on each side over medium heat; six minutes per side. Chicken will not be thoroughly cooked but crispy on both sides.
Thirdly, season your chicken parmesan with garlic salt and ground pepper. Now top chicken breast with Swiss cheese slices and sprinkle mozzarella cheese to cover the entire chicken breast. Pour your favorite spaghetti sauce over chicken and bake covered for thirty-five minutes. Remove covered lid and bake an additional ten minutes. Finally, top with fresh parsley, grated parmesan cheese and serve with homemade garlic bread, salad and/or favorite noodles!
