3.) Summer there was much planned away from your home and fall brings more chaos because of summer harvest, back to school and of course routines. Take time during these fall months to slow down an enjoy the season by embracing the virtue of Gratitude. Thanking a person is one way to show gratitude or keeping a journal.
Practice Gratitude often, Thanking God, thanking others can be the healthiest thing. People who show gratitude can lower heart-disease, live a longer life and promote healthy decisions. Just simply thanking God for your food, safety and/or love one’s will promote better eating choices throughout the day.
I love using a Gratitude journal each morning to write one thing I am grateful for today.
At night I write everything I am grateful for that comes to my mind. Reminding yourself of Gratitude is a positive way to check in with yourself and staying on track on what is important.
4.) Time out from technology daily, tons and tons of research shows being connected all day-everyday can stress us out. Connection face-face is essential for your health and building relationships.
Decide what time of day it is tech free, for example I shut down my phone and emails two hours before bed and when I am not working, I go hours without technology. In replace of taking a time out from technology read a book, take a walk with your family/friends, or play a board game, work on a puzzle, cook together or craft with ones that you love and hold dear.
