I love all the seasons and any good reason to commemorate! Fall brings me such joy not because of my birthday but, the coziness and all the celebrations. Of course, I love to prepare all the seasonal, delicious foods but, I do love to decorate and celebrate but, on a budget.
Keeping things simple and easy to maintain is essential when decorating my home. All the extra stuff can create anxiety for me, and I want things that look like fall in my home but not commercialized and cluttered. I like an organize cohesive flow to all my fall decorating.
Finding thrifted fall items at secondhand store is one way I decorate but, other ways is shopping my home and bringing the outdoors inside.
Let me share plus I am hoping to inspire you to create a cozy, fall home that is ready for everything the season has to offer and budget friendly.
Let me take you on a journey on my process to motivate you to be frugal and excited for the season.
Ten Thrifty Decorating Ideas for Fall
1.) Wood such as branches, wooden disc or logs can be dried and place in a bowl or basket to warm up a space.
2.) Apples and Pears can be faux or real. Real fall fruit is nice because it has a double purpose.
3.) Pumpkins in all shapes and sizes. Blues, pinks and the classic orange, the possibilities are endless.
4.) Wheat and other grasses can be dried and brought indoors to jazz up a vessel or arrangement.
5.) Pinecones and Acorns are perfect for decorating by filling a glass bowl in the fall and the winter.
6.) Plaid Pattens are nice to decorate such as a throw blanket, pillows are anything else you can think of.
7.) Mugs, big or small are pleasant and filled with delicious fall drinks.
8.) Lanterns in all shapes and sizes can warm up a space or light a path.
9.) Galvanized Buckets are rustic, and classic filled with all the fall flowers.

Decorating with Wood feels like fall. As the days shorten and the nights are longer, the weather become crisper. Gathering of wood is apparent as fireplace are blazing and outdoor gatherings around a fire is must.
Why not, decorate with wood to create a rustic, cozy fall home. Fill bowls up with small wood scraps, display candles on wooden disc and/or fill baskets with wood that is ready to be burned. Place a large wooden disc on a table and create a nice fall centerpiece.
Apples and Pears faux or real come in a variety of color. these fall fruits are in abundance here in the Midwest.
Just buying, picking or growing a harvest of apples or pears and placing in your home is thrifty plus you can eat them.
Display apples/pears in bowls on a countertop or centerpiece in a table. Display faux fall fruit around a shelf or in glass jars.
When I think of fall in the States, Pumpkins comes to mind!
Pumpkins are must to any fall decorating. I love all the colors and shapes pumpkins come in. Pumpkins are gorgeous and give a fairy tale vibe to any space in and out of your homestead. If you do not grow your own pumpkins, you can hit up some farm stands or local grocery stores and find all shades of pumpkins. Use pumpkins everywhere for cheap decorating this fall.
Wheat can be found anywhere in the mid-west and to this day a great way to add to vases this fall.
Dried Wheat comes in many varieties and are popular and scream fall around here.
Harvest wheat is big in the fall and if you snag a few sprigs why not add to your fall floral arrangements.
Pinecones and Acorns are everywhere on the ground as the nights turn colder. Clean and dry out all your pinecones and acorns and display on a coffee table in a class jar. Add a pinecone to a windowsill or adding touches of acorns to a centerpiece.

Pitchers are so super but, make a statement. You can find many great white pitchers at secondhand stores in varies sizes. Display fall blooms within your pitchers in your home to make a great look to any space. Clustering pitchers together in varies sizes can be a nice touch displayed on a shelf.
